Inspired by Ed's children and his love for illustration, these individually hand-crafted birch ply animal heads - reminiscent of Scandinavian folklore, are designed as collectors' items.
The challenge here was to capture character in simplicity, so creating purity of form, sophistication and harmony within the minimalism tradition.
All animal heads can be wall-mounted as art/ decorative pieces. The deer, elephant and rhino versions also function as coat-hooks, adding a quirky twist to the hallway or bedroom.

ABOUT EMO MODERN FURNITURE
Emo Modern Furniture is a company located in the Isle of Man and born from a love for architectural sculpture, cutting edge design, and a passion for working with wood.
With a BA (Hons) degree in Design (Illustration), Ed Morrey has been a creator and a frequenter of workshops since childhood, and has worked as a Sculptor and a Fine Artist. He has also been a Director of two building conservation companies, where he honed his practical joinery skills and his eye for architectural detail. His first building conservation project was the restoration of his two art studios in the late 1980's. These remain Emo Modern Furniture's workshop space to this day and are where Ed began creating bespoke furniture and other home items for family and friends over fifteen years ago.
